Second hand

A term meaning that Black copies White's opening setup, but with a loss of tempo.

The term "first hand" has the same meaning, i.e. White employs an opening that is usually played by Black, but with a gain of tempo.

Nowadays both terms have almost lost their meaning, since such opening setups have acquired names of their own. For example, "King's Indian in the first hand" is now called the "King's Indian Attack".
